Which meeting rooms are available at The Hive?
The Hive brings together eight meeting rooms on the second floor of its 2,500-square-meter space at Viale Decumano 36 in Milan. Capacities cover the range a company needs during a typical working day: 4 seats for an interview or private call, 10 seats for a team alignment meeting, and 20 seats for a workshop or training session. Three rooms can be combined, so the same physical space can support different configurations depending on the number of attendees.
Alongside the meeting rooms, the floor also offers a lounge and the Gaia Panina event room for formats that go beyond seated meetings: presentations, networking aperitifs and round tables with external guests.
Why meeting rooms matter when choosing an office at MIND
For an office manager or HR lead evaluating a location at MIND, meeting room availability affects how much office space is actually needed. A twelve-person team that meets twice a month can work from a fifty-square-meter suite and book a meeting room when required, shifting part of the cost from fixed floor area to variable usage.
The same logic works in both directions for companies that bring guests to MIND. The district brings together research, life sciences, healthcare, education and business within the same area, with organizations such as Human Technopole and AstraZeneca: many meetings arise from proximity to these stakeholders and need a professional space within the same day. We have already explored this topic in Opening an office at MIND Milano, where the district is described as an ecosystem of research and business rather than simply an address: meeting rooms are the infrastructure that makes that proximity usable in practice.
For a startup or SME, the benefit is visible on the invoice. The meeting room is charged on a pay-per-use basis, with the amount known in advance and no technology fit-out costs borne by the company.

Turing and Tesla are the two ten-seat rooms for alignment meetings, project reviews and hybrid calls with remote participants. Turing benefits from natural light; Tesla offers a more intimate setting, suitable for confidential interviews and decision-making sessions that require privacy.
The three Hopper rooms cover the small-format setup: four or six people around a table, with a monitor and independent lighting. They are the rooms for everyday work, from client calls to one-to-one meetings.
Hack 1 and Hack 2 accommodate six or eight people and feature a wall-mounted whiteboard, making them well suited to meetings that generate material to display: brainstorming sessions, retrospectives and roadmap planning.
How the rooms can be combined: from 4 to 25 seats
The most useful feature of the floor is its modularity. The three Hopper rooms can be opened up into three configurations: Hopper Half combines rooms 1 and 2 for 8–10 people, Hopper Medium combines rooms 2 and 3 for 12–15, and Hopper Full brings all three together with three 58-inch monitors. Hack 1 and Hack 2 follow the same logic, creating Hack Full, a twenty-seat boardroom with a video wall and click&share system.
This setup makes it possible to manage a variable-format event without changing buildings. An internal convention that brings together twenty-five people in a plenary session in the morning and splits them into three working groups in the afternoon can use Hopper Full for the first part and the three separate rooms for the second, with the same technical setup and the same house management support.
Event spaces: Gaia Panina room and floor lounge
Gaia Panina is The Hive’s event room, designed for formats that go beyond operational meetings: theater-style presentations, meetings with guests from the district, open training sessions and community events.
The floor lounge extends the event beyond the room itself: it is the space used for guest registration, coffee breaks, closing aperitifs and informal networking among companies in the building. At The Hive, this part is handled by the house management team: a shared table and staff who operate as community and hospitality managers, so the relational side of the day remains supported by people who know the tenants and know who to introduce to whom.
We will publish a dedicated in-depth article on the Gaia Panina event room in the coming weeks, with technical details, configurations and formats already hosted there.
